My Story: Trelease Hartfield, BSBA, MHA, MS, LCPC, LPC, NCC

I have experience in helping clients with amputation support, stress, anxiety, coping with grief, coping with loss, motivation, self-esteem, trauma/PTSD, confidence, & depression. I also have experience in emotional support animals and reunification counseling.
I also have experience working with clients who are dealing with life changes, including amputee support, which I am also a left above the knee amputee. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage and I am here to support you in that process.
On June 7, 2024, after 22 years of riding my motorcycle without any accidents, one disastrous moment left me with 19 surgeries missing a leg above the knee, among other things. I was hit from behind in the HOV/Peach Pass lane on I-85N. Still, I consider myself one of the lucky ones. Why? Because my helmet spared me from suffering any spinal cord or brain injuries. Yet, not all are as fortunate as me. The person who hit me kept going and was never found.
Despite the apparent life-saving potential of helmets, many laws in some states only enforce helmet use based on age. This regulation overlooks the undeniable fact that accidents can happen to anyone, irrespective of age. By advocating for the enforcement of universal helmet laws, we are not just promoting public safety; we are potentially saving lives, reducing the severity of injuries, and averting countless tragedies every year.
I have been through trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and PTSD, so I know exactly how my clients feel. You can click the link to see if you are in network with me and I also take cash.
